Details: Samuel Barnett, Henry Copas and Harry Ward were indicted for stealing, on the 23d of July , at St. Martin, Ironmonger-lane , a table clock, value 25 l., the goods of Edward Watson , in his dwelling-house . Defence of Copas - I was at work at the time - I am a bricklayer , and what that woman has sworn is as false as God Almighty is true. The Lord Mayor asked her on our first examination, and she said she knew neither of them.
